Wine and Chocolate Tasting Tickets On Sale Now

On Saturday, April 20 we are hosting our annual wine and chocolate tasting from 6 to 9 p.m. on the patio at the Boulder Dam Hotel. Jim and Mary Lind will play music, and there will be a silent auction of gift baskets. This event is an annual fundraiser for our branch scholarships for local college students. The cost is $20 per person for a souvenir wine glass to enjoy the varied wines and chocolates Purchase tickets in advance at the Boulder Dam Hotel with a credit or debit card or at the event with cash or a local check. Event sponsors include the Boulder Dam Hotel and Museum, the Boulder Dam Credit Union, and Boy Scout Troop 7 which is setting up chairs and tables for the event.

Dr. Christina Vela, CEO of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, will speak at our branch’s Wednesday, April 10 meeting. The meeting is open to the public and will include opportunities to ask questions, engage in discussions, and learn about the new Healing Center being built at the ranch. The AAUW meeting is at 6 p.m. in the museum meeting room at the Boulder Dam Hotel.

Our branch normally holds meetings on the second Wednesday every month from September to May, and we focus on programs that pertain to education, equity, Nevada and Boulder City.
